Just like to people know I tryied out for -:AimLords:- and failed miserably, mainly because the leader (and the rest of the clan) was a barrettard, not that theres anything wrong with that. And I'm an auto/ruger fan, so...For some reason my bullets didn't seem to bink him either, I'm not accussing him of hacking, it was just wierd...Anyway, I failed, gonna go practice now!

Right, a good job it was. It wasn't sufficient, but still a nice 'go for it'. Good Job, even though you failed horribly! SOldat's about fun, we all know that, so who cares whether you reached you goal, regardless of what it was, 'cause you still had fun. Not only that, now we can all have great fun on your expence. Everybody, laugh along with carl and I: Ha! Haha! Hahaha!..

No sorry :/ I didn't record, but the game was along the lines of:

Me run towards him, spraying Mp5 shots at him, quite a few hit. I think "he's screwed now cos I've binked the shit out of him" Then he shoots his Barret, knocks my head clean off. Repeat. I change weapons a few times, we throw grenades, mine don't seem to hurt him, he ends up with about 15 kills and I have 3, repeat for 3 different maps, and there you have it.

In short, he raped me.

This really is in the wrong section, however if it hasn't been locked yet Imay as well post my opinion.
The best thing in my time playing Soldat (although I don't play that much anymore, maybe 3 hours a week) that I've found to use against one-shot-killers, is to try and bink while trying tohit them with a grenade. Auto's cause bink, bink causes the player to miss, and when they miss, throw a grenade and hope to god it blows them away. This is my tactic at least (on close-ish ranged maps).

i think you did the right thing not changing to the barret to even the score and keep trying with your autos / ruger.. i admire a brave soul like you and think you should have full administraitor rights to this forum

It's silly to join a clan which does 1v1's for a tryout anyway. It's ctf skills which matter, and not how you can camp/run away/whore medikits/spawnkill on DM maps.

he did good and im proud of him YES 1 on 1 shows your killing ability too! though...

But they should run many types of tests...

Like the speed test how to get from POINT A to POINT B in the quickest amount of time>~

C'mon people. The best way to learn some skills is by playing in random servers. You know, you get enemies with various skills and styles.

Precisely why it's bad. After a while publics and random servers provide as much of a challange as a mere botmatch. If you want to get good, as in real good, play gathers and most importantly, clan wars. Often.
