demos work?

i have autodemo on, but every five seconds or so on the top of the screen it will ether say DEMO disconnected or demo saved in... and its always the same filename.

in short, demos dont work/overwrite.
If we hit the bullseye the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate. -Zapp Brannigan

Eh, just try re-installing.
Illumination is not reached by visualizing the light but by exploring the darkness.

Put a paper on ur screen where it says "RECORD DEMO ON SOLDAT"

You could allways use a program such as Fraps (up to 30 sec in the free version) that records the game directly to a video format if no one can help you with your problem.
