RPG map Idea

Ok well I was always thinking of the idea of an RPG style map or Mode?... Anyway let me try and explain what I was going for.

In any RPG (maybe not any) you kill, grind, level up, gain new weapons from drops and such. Eventually getting to a finishing objective, by going through all the lower level Mobs, or Areas of the game and finishing all the quests or killing the last boss.

Ok for my idea I was thinking of integrating most of thoughs above ideas into a soldat map... Some how... For example, starting with a Knife and going through some of the Areas of the map killing Bots (with a long enough spawn time to get away without having to kill more) after using a Teleport Poly to get to the next level and continuing on to hard Bots... Now really the only way Bots can get harder if there are more then one of them or if they are using a different weapon (Problem... If the Bot can use a different weapon that means you can select the same one... Solution, Being able to get "Flamer" Probably modded "Berzerker" for extra damage "Rambo bow") I am pretty sure I can design a descent map with extra things like an Arena for PvPing with other players who joined =)

I hope that you understand what I am going for... Any Ideas or Suggestions would be great.

1) This ain't WoW, or any other MMORPG...
2) Involves modifying Soldats Source Code...

so...1+2= NOT A FUCKING CHANCE!

I'm already making some singleplayer maps . Altough they arent RPG and I don't believe that the RPG style of play really fits in soldat.

Well I see I am not going to get much help here... I know I can't modify the source code and stuff like this doesn't really make sence... Although I will continue to try and make something to what my idea was.

The hole reason why I posted to see if there was anything someone could contribute to this idea, not flame.

Well if you did... I didn't not mean to be able to actually level up as described below. (Which is why I assume, you said WoW as an example)

I mentioned that I would only integrate "most" not all... So for obvious reasons (Like you mentioned not modding the source code) I only ment to add things like having an objective, of finishing the level... but having to go through different Mobs before you can continue on. So I still consider this Idea completely plausible. It's kind of like a climbing map... you climb to get to the objective (in there case usually a flag) In this case killing bots. Do you understand now?

Singleplayer maps are fun and what you propose is'nt much different so why not.

Yeah it just sounds like a Singleplayer map with some diferent objectives. Make it teammatch, put different bots on each team, and the rest lies in the map. You could provide different powerups for certain sections; I.E., sneak past people with Predator to get cluster grenade pack, then kill them and drop through the entry they are protecting, then grab the berserker and use a gun from the guys you just killed to mow down a few more guys, etc etc. Maybe you could have it be capture the flag, and just add yellow and green teams (with admin scripting or something).

If not for this post I would think you belong in the basement.   :-\ Truely, however, this is a bad idea. However, it does slightly remind me of an idea I use to have. Perhaps if you had the skill to make obstacles that you could slip by with the weapons. However, more than two weapons would need source code, (I believe.) if not, correct me.

Sounds like some great ideas, right on to what I was thinking about, as well as having bots on different teams and using the powerups to help get through harder Bots or more then one... I was thinking of doing that but I seem to have the problem of spawn time on bonus powerups... Any ideas to make them always there?

Soldat is  a tactical side scrolling shooter, not much rpg needed into all the good stuff
