I have had several unfortunate instances with knives. I like knives, they allow for stylish kills and ninja-attacks, but I have a strange mix of good and bad luck with them.
Quite often, I go and rush into a fight, fire all my ammo, then in one last push of desperation (or stylin') I go for a knife-finish. Problem is, thrown guns are remarkably non-lethal.
Other times, I practicly need a "hazardous waste-disposal" container for them. One of the reasons I like knives is because they are easy to throw away in favor of an additional gun when you want one. I've killed a good many people doing that; team-mates, enemies, myself. Poor *******s never stood a chance. That last one takes talent. It's pretty hard to do unintentionally.
But it's not all bad. I do on occasion get lucky, getting in a dodgeball-worthy knifeshot from accross the screen, or nailing the enemy flagger as I pursue him. I've had some pretty sweet kills. Then again, that's nothing new.
Overall however, I think I have a higher than average chance of "awesome shots" when I throw my knife, but also a heightened risk of barret-beaning somebody, or killing the FFC.
Maybe it's just my predilection towards attempting "long shots" with my knife, but I guess I should just be more careful where I throw those things. 'Cause the joy of looting that shiny new barret from a fresh corpse is somewhat dulled by decapitating yourself.
They're a blessing and a curse, but it's hats-off to knives!
I'll head-off now.
