I liked ash2 as well. Perhaps different categories for different map types would be an idea?

that'd be too much if we chose 1 map for each gametype or atleast DM and CTF, and on the other hand it wouldnt be enough nomination worthy maps if we did only 1 gamemode each week

I think you guys made a good choice because you didn't make it just about how cool the map looked, in which case either Easter Island or Morass would have won.  This will encourage people who want this award to not just focus on visuals.

ctf_Naom or dm_Plastilin. dm_Junglelake looks good but the waterfall effect totally turns me off; the scenery for the water running down diagonally is almost perfectly 45º, flat :-X

We'll see how tonight's testing goes, but so far I can say that this project is a success; it seems to have gotten many mappers to be active again, and there are some nice maps coming up.

We were not able to playtest TW_Battlefield due to the length of its name.  I knew that was gonna happen.  -_-;

The map name consisted of 14 characters (including the tw_ prefix) where the limit is 12.

motw #9 will be delayed till next week, since a couple of committee members can't come and Demonic is quitting soldat.
So since Dem is away, we are searching one new committee member.
