New INF maps
« on: November 21, 2006, 02:05:17 pm »
Here I am attempting to make a poll thread for new inf maps.

Map reference info can be found in this thread:

20kB limit????  This is the 21st century!
A 500 kb image is downloaded once and then cached.  When viewed 25 times, the average size = 20kB.  Sigh.

For those who are unaware, this is apparently a fork of the U13 INF thread.

Is there a way to add a poll mid-thread?  I thought this new thread was the only option... sorry if not so.

No there is not, but it would have been helpful for you to at least mention that this thread is from that one

Add all the new maps after you test them.

I need people to test those maps for me and then come back here and vote in the poll.  In a week or two I'll add the highest voted ones

You take things too seriously, just add a few maps and check the commends at the logs ;)

It's all regs over at the inf server.  We'll be able to provide good feedback immediately.  At least for now, I hope FLAB can just put them on the server and we can vote them up to try them.  Please?

Not everyone who plays ther check these forums....they wouldn't know about this.  If they seen new options to vote in, I think they would love it.

On a side note, can you remove the extraneous (non-inf) maps from the list?  It's a pain to have to click through a dozen maps to get to the INF section of the map list.

If you're talking about map voting, the list isn't the list of maps on the server, it's the list of maps in your Maps folder. You can't remove them from the list from the server side.

I'll add these maps to the server some time this week, and I'll also remove more of the non-inf maps from the server so that they can't be voted

Vis is entirelly correct. His knifing skills are great(played with him a couple tines). Please do not start flames or arguments where you do not know what you are talking about.

Duh... you'll still have to click through all the maps. You just won't be able to make the server switch to other maps.

edit: My knifing skills aren't that bad. :(

I take more offense to you saying that my posts were bs, when you clearly had no clue about the map voting thing. I don't care what anyone thinks about my knifing. :P

So can we add the voted maps into the server?  It's OK if you don't want to start with them in the rotation, but can we at least get them uploaded?
