28 Days later was not a zombie film, those people caught a virus... didn't rise from the dead. The remake of dawn of the dead sucked. Real zombies don't run.

If you only impulse keeping you "alive" was to feed then you would totally wait in line wouldn't you.

If you watched day of the dead you would realize that zombies don't really need to feed. Now about running thing well Romero is the king of all zombies and his zombies don't run what the kinds says goes.

Although i think that being dead and (probably) having multiple bone fractures and wounds would slow a zombie down. Running zombies stretches it.

Again if you watched Day of the Dead the asnwer would be given to you.  Zombies can only die by removing the head or destroying the brain *wanders off in thought of that awsome sound clip* anyway in Day of the Dead a zombies organ were removed, leaving only the brain and the body and it was still alive and still tried to feed. They act off the basic thought of survival... find food.

I agree with Graham on some aspects, but Remero didn't invent the idea of zombies, because he made great zombie films does not make him the "god" of zombies or zombie movies.  Read this then come back: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zombies

 Maybe so, but he has taken what has been made of zombies, and has exagerated it into a more "horrifying" entity.  I'm not saying that's a bad thing, people just need to realize that zombies aren't always meant as monstrous flesh eating creatures.  It's explained in the wiki.  I've even read up on it before and have read accounts where people have seen "zombies" that are basically victims of voodoo medicine and have been "zombififed" and used for a slave more or less.  If you're interested in hearing that, be it the true or not it's still an interesting read, I can try and find it.

Oh definately there is a huge difference between real and movie zombies. I never talked about real zombies man

If you ask me, movie zombies are not half as scary as "real" zombies.  So called real zombies are astonishingly scary because of how the truth is not known, yet it is still practiced today in some parts of the world.  While they may not be flesh eating, they are horrifying if you look into it and how much truth is there.

Well zombie movies are really suppose to be scary, just gory.  More realistic and more fake blood the better

I love the idea of zombies, but it kind of ****s me how they don't starve... Eventually they should rot away.

OMGWTFEDIT: In the earlier Gearge Romero zombie movies, the zombies were scared of fire adn ate bugs.

ghosts on the other hand you can't do anything to fight back because your hand will go right through them and there aren't anything against ghosts like a crucifix for vampires, silver bullet for werewolf, etc
and that is why ghosts are scarier

I'm not talking about being afraid of voodoo inflicted zombies being frightening in the sense of "oh my god run he's going to eat me", I'm talking about the eerie, creepy feeling it gives you when you look into it.  The fact that it actually does happen, even still today.  You say you aren't afraid of zombies.  I bet that if you actually seen in person a zombie that fell victim to voodoo, that if you looked into their blank face, their blank eyes, their whole being just suspended in the border between existence and non existence that you wouldn't be the slightest bit creeped out?

actually they are alive, but because of lack of oxygen in the coffin (read about how they do it if you don't know what I mean) they get brain damaged, basically he looks like a normal human being but with a mental disability
