It serves me well though it hasn't good graphic card. Actually it doesn't have any graphic card. It is some kind of graphic driver thingy though soldat run well on it ;)

Intel Celeron M
1500 MHz
1.50 GHz, 752 RAM (originally 256)

They're old, from back when I was still using windows, so... shield your eyes from the operating system present in some of the pictures.

specs:
1GB RAM
1.8GHz Pentium M
Extended life battery.  When I first got it and used linux I could get 6+ hours of battery life.
CD burner though it is really easy to get a DVD burner if you want one for this.
Screen does 1400x1050 resolution, the laptop has an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro (64MB), it has always been able to play the games I want just fine (including HL2/CS:S).
Gigabit networking, comes in handy <3

running Ubuntu on 70 GB of the drive, Windows on the other 10.  I use Ubuntu 99.9% of the time.

12 gig hard drive, 58 megs left

low quality integrated graphics

keyboard sucks, so I am forced to use an external

Couldn't we just use the old "Post your computer" thread? A laptop is a type of computer. Not all of us have laptops, you know. >.>

Someone I was talking to in a non-soldat IRC channel was looking for a laptop to buy and I just set my camera to AF and snapped a ton of pictures for him.  I know how to take better pictures ;)

He was asking specifically about laptops and not necessarily for pictures.  Just because everyone doesn't have a laptop doesn't mean he can't make the thread.  Not everyone has to post here, you know ;)

My laptop is the most powerful computer I got (2.7Ghz Cel) But it doesn't have a screen  :'( It got smashed....

Celeron isn't powerful :P  a 2.7GHz celeron is about equal to a 1.5GhZ pentium 4
