spawnkilling is not ever a good excuse for any reason, where your flag is is irrelevant.

Agreed.

I enjoyed that.

And I'm sorry, but that's called defending your flag. If all you can do to hold a person off from your flag is consistantly shoot them down before they can take it and cap, you damn well better do that. I'd be pissed if they got a cap when it could have been stopped and the person's reason for not stopping them was because it would be spawning.

Plus, I damn well know alot of you, upon reaching a flag with someone spawning next to it, will kill that person before they can kill you. This is the same mentality, except flipped around to protect your flag, rather than steal theirs.

I agree for 100% with above.

But what a great moment. I just had to laugh harder by each kill :D.

Pffff.... if you let your flag goes in the enemy base, next to enemy flag you deserve to loose.

Avarax: I hate your server and most of your maps, but that was undeniably fucking beautiful.
Leo/4yo/papercut: Suck shit. Spawnkilling offers no advantages to the spawnkiller other than extra kills. You hate spawners, you can kill them just as easily as anyone else.

well you're not correct there with that, you can only kill spawnkillers with a nicely placed nade or a quick evasion move to get into a better position.
spawnkiller have these major advantages towards the spawning people:

-they know exactly where there enemy will show up
-their m79 / barrett is usually loaded, the spawning people's not
-they can bring themselves into better position before somebody spawns
-they have free room at their back, the spawning people are simply stuck in their base in most maps (voland, maya, ash, dropdown2, death)

^ Maybe so, but how many people are going to be sporting enough to let them move out of their base and load their weapons. Spawnkilling is even harder to avoid in DMs. Maybe its because I don't use Barrett, but I don't shed a tear when I spawnkill people and I don't whine and vote-kick when people spawnkill me, I don't expect people to wait for me to walk out of my spawn area and aim at them before they are 'allowed' to shot at me like somekind of chivalric high noon dual.

From me people sometimes get that change but thats becuase im using a barret most of the times and its so sad for them to die without being able to do anything. (yea i know or im weak or i just can't stand whining)

well you're not correct there with that, you can only kill spawnkillers with a nicely placed nade or a quick evasion move to get into a better position.
Or a knife, or any other weapon that doesn't load when you spawn. Evasion should be expected of players at all times, even moreso when you already know where your enemy is.

-they know exactly where there enemy will show up
So do the people being spawned, unless the spawnkiller runs away.

-their m79 / barrett is usually loaded, the spawning people's not
It's pretty silly to pick a weapon that requires loading time when there's someone waiting for you to spawn.

-they can bring themselves into better position before somebody spawns
You've got me there. In most maps I've played, though, there aren't many spots near the spawn that offer considerable advantages without repercussions.

-they have free room at their back, the spawning people are simply stuck in their base in most maps (voland, maya, ash, dropdown2, death)
Though this is true, the bases are usually large enough to accomodate evasive maneuvers. This isn't very much of an advantage unless retreating.

Spawnkilling only requires a momentary change of strategy, like switching to an MP5 for one death in order to kill the spawner instead of keeping your barret and taking the role of a sitting duck. If you aren't skilled enough to kill them, it's likely that you'd die even if they weren't spawning. (Or the spawnkiller is just damn good.)
