You don't seem to realise that in this position, you're still doing great service to your country.
They wouldn't have this program if they didn't have plans to use it when they needed to. If you're testing different engines, then you're helping with something rather important there. You don't have to have your life in constant danger to have purpose.

What Outcast said. Keep in mind that most people in jail won't be like you - they actually done some serious shit so they got locked up, so it might be a good idea not to get some new friends in there.

And otherwise, full respect - going through all this so you can actually do something for your country. You've got balls dude.

I agree with peemonkey here man. Soldiers need tools to get their job done. Also since you scored high in the iq test that may be one reason why they gave you that job. Since they don't want a smart soldier to go to waste. I say take your time in jail to think about your life. Keep your head down, don't piss off anyone, and just stay alive.  Hope you work everything out when you get out man.

Lol SK you're such a damn tool.  Ahahaha I can't stop laughing...  Sorry, I never liked you that much.

Don't worry buddy, i am sure that your time in jail will be so much more rewarding than serving your country on board of a submarine.

On a serious note, can you go back to your commander and suck him off, so that he'd let you back on board?  I'm sure that you're not the first teenager who could not handle responsibility and went AWOL.  You are putting yourself in a world of pain.  Once you have the jail time behind your back it will be VERY difficult to get your life back together.  Think about what you're doing son.

You say that you want a high-speed job like infantry or something.  You go to your commanders and request a transfer, obviously they are not gonna give it to you, because you are a nobody-private.  So how do you go and prove to them that you are worthy?  You desert ship and run away with your tail between your legs.  That's not going to get your anywhere in life.  You're in deep **** son, and I hope that you can figure this out without ****ing up your life for good.

And otherwise, full respect - going through all this so you can actually do something for your country. You've got balls dude.

You're a moron.  If the Army gives every whiny teenager (read SuperKill) what they want, it would not be an Army anymore.  They gave him responsibility, and he could not handle it.

SK, honestly do you think they will let you into a worthy unit after your abandoned your last post?

anywho you're pretty right but there's a paradox here.. i'm running away just so i could get accepted to something better. there's a rule in the IDF saying once you've entered jail you'll never come back to the same force you served in. plus, there's a form called form 55 that i could apply in jail, this form's purpose is to transfer me into another unit as fast as possible.

Looks like they are giving whiny teenagers what they want, so they're not an Army. So how have they won quite a few wars in the past?

If you want a better job in the military, going to jail is not the best way to get what you want.  I have never served, but I would assume that excelling at your current assignment would give you better chances.  Nobody is going to trust him with anything now that he's abandoned his post.

I'm not sure what you are arguing with me about, Demonic.

Slashnoob... I'm not sure if it's the right decision to turn yourself in, but it sure as hell was the right decision to leave. The army is just a fucking job. U-boats have had their 15 minutes of fame, and they're not important right now. Good luck in the joint man...

Was just pointing that out - judging by what SK said earlier on IRC, going to jail was the easiest way to progress for him :p

By the by, welcome back. You never served? We thought you were in the army lol.

I was waiting for the inevitable "I'm back" post, but it looks like it isn't coming.  So welcome back, BMF.

SK, if that's what you have to do to move to where you want -- good job.  If it just lands you in jail and nothing else -- you're a moron. Just keep your anus safe. :P

Demonic, i wasn't on IRC for quite a time so i don't really know what you mean by that :p but nevermind that.

BMF, as Karmazon said - if you never served, shut the **** up.
being a damage controll person in a submarine in the IDF is a complete bore as i said. it has no responsibility issues. i'm not responsible for anything. it's the complete opposite of what you tried to show - i'm LOOKING for responsibility of people's lives, i'm looking for a job that will force me to make decisions that could make changes, i'm looking for a job that will make some changes on the battlefield.

as i said - we've got absolutely no underwater threats, so my job is useless unless we decide to nuke a country, but when that happens everybody from my unit gets replaced by our commanders who does the job for us (in wars experience is what matters).

i will go to jail, and i will get out of the unit and join a better force. plenty people have done it.

the army doesn't give any whiny teenager what he wants. proof is that i've been trying to move for months and they wouldn't let me.. anywho, they have no problem in sending me into a battlefield job, it's just that they can't take the responsibility to tear up a family incase i get killed, and that's why they need my mom's authorization to do so.

most people become fugitives from the army to quit their service,
i became a fugitive in order to turn myself in eventually and get that certain form in jail that will force me to get a 'good' (by my standarts) job.

Vijchti, yeah.. that's what i have to do to move where i want to.

aiiiiiiiiiight.

Sorry, but now ghey "Im back!" posts from me

Yes, i was supposed to ship for basic training (US Army) in June of this year right after my college graduation.  I had a back surgery in May , and the Army voided my contract with about 5 weeks left until my ship date.  I'm still sort of sensitive about this subject *tear*

There's two kinds of people who haven't served in the military: cripples and cowards.  I'm not 100% sure which category i belong to.

SuperKill you're a dumbass if you think that you know better than your commanders.  The army assigned you to a unit for a reason.  Instead of serving proudly, you showed yourself as a selfish brat that you are.  Good luck in the stockade.  If you think they will give you an assignment in Mossad based on your stellar performance AWOL, you have another thing coming.

BTW I'm still grinning at what kind of a dumbass you are

lol Gram, its been a while

By the way if anybody wants to make a "Shut the **** up if you didn't serve" statement, please make sure that:

(a.) you served before (karmazon)
(b.) you are currently serving HONORABLY (that goes to the AWOL monkey)
