Hi,i have notcie that some of my beginning maps are boring but i have gotton better at it since then.Here is a map called ctf_lecton.And i put another map its called battlefield.
I hope you enjoy these maps.

"Overview" is a common term in the mapping world.

Overview is a picture/screenshot from your whole map.

Use paint and save it as .jpg, then use the attachment function in the forum or upload it to imageshack.us.

Geez, you people! So crazy about a couple overviews.

Here. I downloaded them myself and shall commence notes on them:

This one is ctf_fire 7.

It's very poor. The cloud graphics are especially poorly utilized; look at inf_Fortress and see how Marcinkowski used them. To me it personally looks like a training map. If it was your first, I guess I can't really complain, then.

Battlefield:

Much, much better. It at least shows that you know how to shade properly and how to utilize the scenery transparency function. Kinda cramped in some places.

Sorry im being to dumb i need to focus more whe im making maps and let sceneries blend in to make is better also i need to make more places to hide in the maps.im being to rushy i need to slow down.

Are you sure Battlefield is your map? I played that map ages ago on a server and you seem to be a new mapper...

I didn't think it was his the moment I saw it, people don't make four maps in a day and have three of them be very sub-par, and have one be avarage/above average. Especially someone who doesn't know:
A) What an overview is.
B) That triple posting is frowned upon.
C) That shading is nescesary for a good map.

So, that was me releasing some steam cause I had a rough day at work. But seriously, read the rules, don't steal people's shit, and put some fucking effort into your fucking maps.

Batttle field isnt my map i just putted up so compare it with my map.Secondly i dont make 4 maps a day i made maps a while a ago last week to be exact.see and look seee how my map is so not good and look at the one below it.Omg wraithful i wouldnt steal someone map...
