This programm requires WinRAR to work (actually it's WinRAR that is packing).
WinRAR provides best possible compression. So here some vivid results for MNP mappack:
1. 4692 kb - WinRAR 3.62 solid .rar archive with maximum compression
2. 5083 kb - WinRAR 3.62 simple .rar archive with maximum compression
3. 5402 kb - WinRAR 3.62 simple .zip archive with maximum compression
4. 5593 kb - WinZIP 11.0 (7313) simple .zip with maximum compression

So I just can suggest to install WinRAR (or ask admin to do this).

And if you re-compress it into .ZIP, it won't work?

No, admin is in another country and won't tell me the password the admin user.

the program uses winrar to pack the files man, its not only needed to unpack the program itself.

without winrar you cant use this program

MPA v2.0.6 - soldat 1.4 Ready!
« Reply #16 on: May 06, 2007, 11:02:34 am »
New version is out!
Added command line interface and search function. MPA now detects even more map imperfections. Big help file contains a lot of usefull information about installing/using of MPA, command line syntax and map warnings handling...
Now i'm thinking about making MPA article on soldat wiki.

to Avarax: it's anti-lag bridge for tw_Cannibals, remember?

I'm working on the new, fully rewritten version of MPA.
new features already implemented: Gif support, info tooltips, variables like %info% %date% %properties% for archive comments, search for Archive content list and ability to pack uncompiled maps

if you have any ideas/suggestions for MPA please post them

The first crash report in 6 years...

Well, Soldat MPA suppose to work fine on Windows 7 even without any compatibility modes. So my suggestions are:
1) Make sure that MPA executable is not corrupted (try redownloading it)
2) Make sure that you are running version compatible with your system (64-bit version would obviously not work on 32-bit system)
