Well today I got bored what with no work and all, so decided to start making a mod of the guns I own, love and have fired.
I've created a palette of simple colors with several "lum"'s 20 ticks away (MS Paint), and so far it's been looking pretty good. Pictures comming soon.
Plan on having:
Mosin Nagant 1891 -done
Mossberg 500A
NEF Handi Rifle
SKS
Kimber Stainless (R.I.P. Old buddy

)
Marlin 336

S&W 500
Ruger P345
Kahr CW40
AC556
Mini-30
Kabar
Machete
Kabar TDI (****in' small)
Stones(when you're outta ammo, ammo is still all around

If anyone has any suggestions, kick down. This isn't some massive project of mine, just something to work on when work is over, em's ain't home, and IRC is bunk.

MS Paint.
I need some good fire sounds, but I'm not about to start shooting in this place just to make a mod

If anyone knows where I could get some, I'd be thankful.
I'm producing all the action sounds, seeing as I have most of the weapons sitting around the house, and for those I don't own, I can just hybrid them up with others in "Sound Recorder"

I hope you plan on making a weap.ini config, yes? Seeing as you've fired them, you'd be the best person for the job.

Regarding sounds, record them with a mic, then jazz them up with Audacity, a very handy recording program. If that doesn't work, just PM me the unedited ones and I'll reduce hiss, background sounds, and fix the volume.

I already have the sounds for the action, and it's sounding good. It's the firing sounds I need. I'm not planning on taking my monitor and a 7 mile long extension cord out to the range to record the sounds, either

EDIT: oh yea, I already have a nice config goin, I just really want the sfx to make the big guns have the impact

Everyone says the M500 looks like a dick. I've fired the thing. It looks like a dick. I cannot change much on it, and resizing it makes it look crap.
Probably going to make a different knife, this one's just a placeholder.

The alternate guns u replaced are all too biig. Resize them plz. Other than that its good.

resizing them looks like ****, not gonna happen. They just happen to be bigger than the standard weapons, I don't plan on having any left, so it won't matter as long as they don't run into the text.
EDIT: Minor Update:
resized all pistols to be ever so slightly smaller, added CW40 in AK74 slot, added N.E.F. 12Ga in Desert Eagles slot, working on getting weapons balanced killing zombies.

Looks great peemonkey. If you really want It I could probably dig up a copy of Paint Shop Pro 7 for all of your modding needs. Makes it ten times easier and 10 times faster when you can just flip the image of deagles.bmp to make deagles-2.bmp. Let me nknow if you want it and I'll see if I can tug her off my CD.

I like using MS Paint, it's more intuitive and you can get into it easy.
Right now i'm working on the weapons.ini, then i'll finish the weapons-gfx and finish with sounds.

The rifle in the latest batch (just underneath the knife) seems to have a pretty short barrel, and the pistol looks a bit big when compared to the other weapons in that pack.
