How do you apply a patch or update on C&C

Like the title says, How do I? The mutliplayer is working its just i need to know how you apply the patch.

1. Download patch.
2. Doubleclick patch exe.
3. www.google.com or GTFO

You guys don't understand. I have the patch but its in a rtp file and i have to open it with something...How do i APPLY it with C&C.

EDIT: here are too pics.

one of them is a 1.8 patch that wont go in.
theothe rpic is the one with the patch that automactically downloaded to my directory for the game.

Problem is you are trying to use a newer patch on a version that the patch doesn't support, methinks.

Get the latest FULL patch, not incremental.

Here ds_dude, this might be of service
go to www.download.com
from download.com, search command and conquer (this)
Then find the most up to date patch on the list (1.06)
Download it by clicking the download button
when the download is finished, find the file and click on it to open
Follow the on screen instructions to install the patch
vola' you are done.

Everytime time i try to get the exe i end up at filefront where i have to pay monthly or a place like that.Gosh i 'm soo stuck.

I tried that but it still said "file contents did not match."

EDIT: It says something about the Game.dat can someone PM me the file or is that illegal to do?

I bet 500$ that you have used a no-cd crack and that's why it won't patch it for you.

Edit: It could be that silly that you have to apply 1.02 -> 1.03 -> 1.04 -> ... try it.
