I'm not so good at math either, but I thought there was no square root of -1, hence the "Not a Number".

I'm well aware that squaring and square rooting are essentially opposites, but I've never heard of doing maths like that before. I was under the impression that only one function is calculated at a time (order of operation), and that cancelling out is just a way of simplifying expressions.
