The Soldat Mappers 1on1 Cup - Final Stage

I want to hold an 1on1 cup for you mappers with some very special condition:
You have to build your own stadium!

The tournament will be held in Deathmatch with these server settings:

Scorelimit: 20
Nadelimit: 3
No Advance, Realistic or Survival Mode
Bullet Time off
Standart 1.3.1 (or maybe 1.3.2? ) weapons
No Statguns


I think i'll lay this out for a maximum of 16 players as their seem to be many interested persons. Those 16 players will be noted down in a randomly generated tournamenttree with K.O. system. Free slots mean a free win in some places.

A duel will be done in the "Best 2 out of 3" system, which means that usually 2 maps are played, then the total killcount is calculated and decides the winner. If the two killcounts are tied, a third map is played, a tiebraker map, which will be elucidated later.
The maps to be played on are always the 2 duelists selfmade stadiums and possibly the tiebreaker map.

Guidelines for the maps are:
- Most important is overall playability
- Minimum size is slightly smaller than Arena2
- Maximum size is about Arena
- Enough tactical possibilitys, no flat and no no-jet maps.
- Not hurting to the eye, visualwise (doesn't have to be astonishing looking aswell)
- No super overpowered spots
- No major polybugs and very few minor ones
- No disturbing background, especially not too bright
- No possibilities to leave the map and respawn (like Airpirates)
- If you have something to add please post it.

The tiebreaker map will be chosen from the submitted stadiums, elected with a vote open to all tournament participators. This tiebreaker competition is another little challenge of the tourney for the more skilled mappers



Let's now get to the When and Who stuff.

This contest is available to europeans and western-asian players only, due to the timezone and ping difficulties.
You will need some mapping skill, but basically, anyone can participate.
I will volunteer to spice your maps up a bit if you or I think they aren't good enough for the tournament.

The deadline for the Signups is the 22th of December.
The Deadline for the maps to be submitted is the 26th December.
The whole Tournament itself will be held all in one day, with the assistance of IRC usage to plan everything out. This day will be the 28th of December, from 16:00 (GMT+1) till aproximatly 20:00. You will need a bunch of time that day

Well, that rules me out, me being Aussie with my 256k modem, giving me and avg. ping of 250.
But wait, is there a chance I can still enter a map, even if I don't actually play in it, you could use it as a spare or something in case someone submits an unplayable map?

By the way, are teleporters allowed when they are visible? If there can be secret tunnels, teleporters are more fair, I think.

hm ya ok you western guyscan make maps and i will then offer them to unskilled mappers to "replace" their work. if they are refused, they can still participate in the vote for the Tiebreaker Map.

sequel to my saw map, only in dm form. Maybe even more tactical than htf_saw. Flesh is a soup that is divided into two main parts, the outdoor lush flora and the in-door old abandoned, stained, rusty. cold warehouse.
