Hi,this map is different from myothers i put extra hard on to it and i hope you love it but before you download it here are some screen shots of it im sorry i couldnt make an overview of the whole because i dont know how to.But here you go.ENJOY.

Look at the first three pictures. Look at the ground's red-blue-black pattern. Can you see how robotic and plain that is? Unless you were purposely trying to achieve that effect (if so, you did well), it looks completely unnatural and in no way does the vegetation on it match.

C'mon, now. :P This isn't even your first map! You can do better. When mapping, just have all polygons white, and color vertices that combine on like points the same in the end (unless you're trying to achieve a radical, jagged shading effect) so they alternate smoothly.

That is an interesting texture...

Good job at tripe posting ds_dude. I know you can only attach 2 attachments each post, but you could've upload to like imageshack.us. And the map sucks.

yes but i was useing a tool so i can turn bmp file to a gif file because bmp isnt allowed and so the tool made it look artish like someone drew it.But if you play it.It look really great.

And god im sorry if it looks so bad...im just a kid for peak sake im trying to learn about this thing i got the polyworks like 5 weeks ago.And im trying to understand textureand balance and colors and the way they go to make the polygons better and im trying to look at poeple maps and get an idea of what it should look like.And im frustrated and i sooo hard and then poeple think my map is the crappiest thing they ever saw...
Fine then ill just make a better map if this map is soo bad :(

ill go make a 2nd version of this map and make look better and if that doesnt work out and poeple still think its dumb then ill make a brand new different map

I don't like how every platform only has one poly.  Come on!  Put some more effort on your maps!  They're okay at the moment, but this is like your 5th/6th map!  Be more creative!  Be more imaginative!  Durr.

So, I guess you made the ground like that on purpose.  There are too many stat guns.

So are we all, except a few people. I'm fourteen, Vltava is thirteen, and officer buttocks is twelve. Yet we do fine.

However, I do like this pic.

Could do with a lightsource though.

Well, actually I'm fourteen. You might want to vary your coloring a bit. PolyWorks makes shading and vertex coloring convenient and easy, as it's just point, click, and drag. Take your time, and don't use age as an excuse. Even I created a decent map a few months back, and I suck horse wang at mapping.

I'm either 15 or 16, I can't remember. But does that mean I win?

But on a serious note, your mappign skills need some work, along with your forum etiquette. But This brings something up, and now I'm going to write a really big tutorial that makes it so even the worst mappers can get good. But for now work on shading, match scenery and textures, post an overview instead of lots of ingames, don't triple post.

Sorry, I was still using the how old are you thread as reference.

I think I'll go write a tutorial as well, seeing that there's a lot of trash maps out at the moment. ds dude, experiment with polyworks and the palette. See what opacity does, it's very handy.

answer: better forget about it and start drawing plans of maps onto paper, then make the maps.

Umm, very contemporary... I suggest giving the polygons a texture and shading that suits the scenery, or change the scenery... layout is slightly irregular, but playable... colours are crazy, looks like disco mode, lol... I like it ;D

haha crazy-lookin map dude! I like it! did you use MapMaker though? f so, BAD!!! BAD BAD BAD! lol, but I like the last screenie ya posted, with the guy hitting the spikes. my only concerns are that you gotta learn to post overviews, not save your screenshots as .gif files. use .jpg, it looks a lot better and still compresses just as nicely.

off topic: Im 16 too, lol, so I guess MC and I are tied ;D

uhhh. how can you fucking not know how to put an overview. theres a button called fit to screen??? and why would you upload files to change to gif??? just change them in paint, and use jpg, gif is bad for photo images. and lastly, try to put effort into your maps. dont just rush them out, and do what vig said, draw them, then color on the paper. make spawn poits on the paper. then recreate perfectly what you drew.
