I like the crosshair, but the interface itself is far too small.

Whoa, as said anove, way too small. I like the crosshair enough but i'm thinkin' it may be too hard too see on a dark map.

NAw, made it all fomr scratch, as small as i could. I don't think I even look at it, but I keep it around. After playing soldat for 3 year I don't think a interface helps at all. I like to maximize on screen space.

If you've played the game for a while you don't really need an interface.  This is meant to be more of a space saver for those who don't need to see visual representations of their stats.
