Update: lots of small impruvements...

Shading: combinated, light tool + manual;
Texture: custom 7x multitexture;
Sceneries: custom;
Waypoints: yes (as usual)
Players: 2-3;

Heretic Soldat II mod is recomended for this map.

you must be fucking nuts to spent that much time on it, judging by that incredible and unique shading technique it must have taken you approximatly 10 hours, polygons only, at my speed.
oh wait... u used the lighttool, huh? whoops ^_^

great atmosphere there aswell, and i think this looks like your first actually greatly playable map since Arena3_OE *applaud*

that fading-out backdrop is also cunning.
I like to have one Martini
Two at the very most
Three I'm under the table
Four I'm under the host

I still don't know how to use the light tool ;Q Someone needs to post a light tool shading tutorial :(
Nice work mate, probably cause lag issues with low fram rate but all the eyecandy makes up for that. Layout looks playable too :)

I just tested it, the looks are nice and all that, but it's unplayable due to the amount of scenery, the 2000+ polygons and the bumpy surfaces. My framerate dropped to somewhere between 10 and 15 FPS the entire time, and that was with just me, no bots or other players ;Q This is map is a just a piece of art...

Quick tutorial (How I'm making maps):
  • 1. Layout scetch (Note: using sketch tool makes Polyworks a bit unstable). -=Screen=-
  • 2. Rough, lowpolygon map version for layout testing (something like default style map).
  • 3. Waypointing, placing spawns and testing map with bots (I sugges to test map after every big chandge).
  • 4. Highpolygon map version.
  • 5. Texturing.
  • 6. Polygon *patches* and structure improvement (providing easy-to-move layout). -=Screen=-
  • 7. Colouring of objects that should have manual colouring.
  • 8. Depth map (Depth colour of objects that should not be affected by certain lights must be brite colour or white (255 hieght)). -=Screen=-
  • 9. Rough Colouring of all landscape (just 3-5 dark colours). -=Screen=-
  • 10. Placing lights (Lights should have relatively dark colours; I used 20/32/20 for top light and 12/34/36 fpr bottom light; Height of light should be less then depth of polygons that should not be affected by this light (<255) ).
  • 11. Applying lights. -=Screen=-
  • 12. Additional manual coluring - with Colour tool and using Average Vertex Colours action on some vertices (Not on whole map!) to make map smoother.
  • 12. Placing sceneries.
  • 13. Impruvements, fixes etc...
Also I suggest to make backup copy of the map before stages 6, 11, 13.

I tested this level. All of a sudden, I get a new favorite DM map. It looks so amazing. It is a perfect map to play while using the Heretics II Mod.

I see pub servers with my latests maps from time to time, but unfortunately i don't know any reliable well-known servers that host my maps...

And speaking of Magica it doesn't seem to be as popular as Calypso (only 50 download for 2 mounths) though it's definitely better.

I don't understand
do you mean that there is a /faceplam commmand ?
and this command should drop a random item ?

10+ is too many... I'm planing to make only one ctf and one inf map with such style and i think they will be released as part of my coming *The Slayers* mod (classic magic).

a few things:
You really dont need that many polygons, I like having a good framerate and slower computers suck, if you have to give up a few visuals for it, so be it.
2-3 player? I'd say more like 5-7. Much more fun.
You spelted impruvements wrong btw.
Other than that:

HOLY SHIT THAT IS TEH SHIZZ OMG!!1!!!!ONESAMUREYE!!!

Very nice VTT! Love the shading and coloring, haven't tried the map yet, because I need to reinstall windows on my computer, but looks playable to me. I use the Heretic Mod and this looks very good if you use it.

also, iDante: You misspelled "misspell" as well ;D
