Ds Dude DO NOT open files in which you do not know what program to use to open them, everytime you do this and the program fails to open it. Messages are sent to Microsoft's Bisconf System - Microsoft recieve information on what you are trying to open if it fails and there is a Low risk of them Banning your IP from the Internet, because opening files with the incorect tools could mean you are trying to open said files with Hex Editors or such.

I know it doesn't work, because I have the same file.
Here, I have a screenshot with the files I know can be opened with GCFScape circled (green circle=trailer red circle=openable).

ds dude if you want to launch the game you need to launch it through steam, those files have nothing to do with launching the game

Actually , if those files aren't present, Steam will not allow any game to launch at all.

ds_dude, leave those files alone and don't modify it. Every steam game you purchase and download comes with a gcf, its hell of a pain to re-download it.
