After having been annoyed by these little bouncers in my map, I've decided to collect all the different solutions to bouncy polygons in one thread, for myself, and of course to help you other chaps too...
- the followings make the bouncing ground:
-congruently overlapped polygons
-too small or too thin polygon
-horizontal line
-connected vertex
and many compiles could be a problem rather than a solution, in
my experience. -chakapoko maker
- In my experience, the bouncy polygons tend to be on the longest
side of the polygon, so you shouldn't have a problem if you have
the shorter sides of the polygon as the surface. -Leo da

- delete the bouncy polys and redo them -grand_diablo
- It often happens when the floor is to thin, and there is nothing
below it, LOL, I mean it is the lowest floor on the map + it's thin.
solution: add polygons below the floor -Aquarius
- try just making them not perfectly straight
& move all the polys to a new location, basically moving the
whole map. -bb_vb
- I have noticed that the first few polygons placed are usually jumpy after compile -Michal
- it's already enough to place a simple, small polygon some centimeters under the map and recompile. Solves it usually. -grand_diablo
If you have any other solutions, post them here, and I'll add them to the list.
