Transformers live action.
« on: December 22, 2006, 03:52:29 pm »
Here's the trailer

That trailer actually looked pretty good, and hopefully the movie will be good also. But then again it's Michael Bay directing, but he's got Spielberg helping out. I was a Beast Wars fan when I was a little kid, but then grew out of it... do you think this movie is going to be plain silly? Or actually a good movie?

Well it seems that the Transformers series has flourished enough for a decent looking movie.

It looks nice. The concept provides plenty in terms of story.

The screenplay is going to be what makes legendary or just another action flick.

edit: I did my homework :)
Quote from: ExtraLife
it has three great story writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, who where screenplay writers for "Mission: Impossible III", "The Legend of Zorro" "The Island", and the series "Alias". Also theres John Rogers who Wrote "the Core", a screenplay writer for "American Outlaws".

So I'd say this movie is in all the right hands I just hope they don't fuge it up... theres so much to do that with to

Don Murphy has confirmed on his site and board the news that was reported earlier today. John Rogers will indeed be writing the screenplay for the Transformers movie.

Wow, I'm gonna be honest.  I didn't have high expectations for this movie but that looks sick.  I especially like the more realistic and foreign/alien design they gave to some of the transformers instead of them all having humanoid faces like in the cartoons.
