Holiday Mapping Contest
« on: December 23, 2006, 02:35:07 pm »
Not to complicated, I'm having a contest to see who can make the best holiday themed map. It doesn't have to be Christmas either, you could make a map of the Hanukkah Zombie's island, and it'd qualify as long as it has a giant Menorah.

Map must be finished by 12/31 12:00 PM GMT -8 (Pacific Standard Time).

Judging will be done by a series of polls, and the winner should be decided by the bew year.

GET MAPPING!

Okay. Then I'm in, but I'm only using default scenery & a texture! Like you said, I'm probably just gonna focus it on something everyone will recognize easily, not really based on any major event of the holidays. (Yes. So many thread views, and I'm the only replier. If I'm the only one who joins, I'll win, and everyone will have to download my piece of crap! [retard])

Not so fast, I think I'll give this a shot too. Can it be winter related ? (snowflakes, tobogans, ect.)

I think I'll compete.  If I have time, that is. :)

Does it have to deal with a holiday, or can it be just snowy?

By the way, do you want it in any specific gamemode ? Just wondering if I can do Deathmatch in Santa's Workshop.

Do you even have a light enough palette to create a Christmas map? :P

:)

Anyway, I'll play. :) I really wish I had anything resembling artistic skills, but I liked this idea too much to pass up. :P
