I wasn't whining about it, I simply felt eager to refer to that issue along with the rest. And I never could handle Barret, never even tried. Plus i didn't say that doesn't require skill atm, I said exacly the opposite:

M79 isn't nobish wepon.This thing you can hear only in public server where playing only noobs.Automatic wepons are more nobish wepons than M79.With m79 you do one shot before damt reloading with auto you just killing easily if there are low health players you create triple kill in second.I think you must practice a lot with M79 to becom good but with auto wepons you can be good withaut training you just shooting but if you play m79 vs auto m79 will win exept if m79 player is noob

It is not a n00bish weapon. I use it all the time. It pushes the enemy back and out of "camping" spots, you can get multiple kills, etc. It's a good weapon, and "good" doesn't mean "easy to master" AKA NOT n00bish. Give me a USSOCOM against a n00b with a M79 and I can pwn them easy. My point is: it's a difficult weapon to master, and that makes it only for the 1337.

if i had a nickel for every time i saw a topic that was about how the m79/barret are unfair and the maker would be a "l33t pwnter" without it, I could use it as a weapon in the game. Truth is, it is balanced, although if it wasn't for the outreagous reload it would be. barret is severely underpowered at the moment due to bink, reload, start up, acc and cool down and m79 is still overpowered, but less so since the spaz and ruger were buffed.

For me the m79 is not a noobish weapon, because when you play with good players or pro`s and you are still in upper rank like place 1-4 after the map you are just a good soldier.
I think it depends on each player.Sure it is easier for a beginner to make a kill with an m79 than it is with a mp5.No doubt about that.But the beginner will also die more often with a m79 in his hands than with mp5.
I think it is well balanced altogether.mp5 reloads after a second...nobody is complainig about the very quick reloading time?Especially not the players who use it
So I never heard the players who prefer the m79 complaining about this.
Whining is a big problem inGame.All the time: m79 noob, haha see the noob with m79 and so on and on.It is annoying ,guys.
Just play and be quiet inGame.

lol. The M79 is used almost entirely by noobs, but when used correctly (from a distance, not in enclosed spaces) it is quite a difficult weapon to use, admit it, a max range kill with the M79 is undeniably 1337.

I usually steal one to have as a secondary just to own the noobs who think they're safe when they are hiding behind a box or something. It's also **** fun to blow a noob in the back after they tried to rush-kill you with the m79 and failed. Other than that, I don't really use it.

m79s are balanced enough. the only really annoying thing is that is is overused is some maps...i hate seeing like 10 kills with m79 in a row...

Ok I hate to say it but on Arena2, the m79 is far better than any other gun. Even the slightly overpowered spas cannot keep up with it on this map. Its because the map is full of curves that match the m79 so well that it actually makes it easier to aim and fire. A bit of testing proves that someone who completely owns me on any other map with any other gun can't even come close to my when I use m79 on Arena2.

I find Blox to be the m79's best map, but matching the curves of a map is the correct way to use an m79, unfortunately running up to someone and blasting them is what makes the m79 so popular and it's also what makes it so unpopular.

It is easy to master. I remember back in my noob days when I learned how to use it well and acting all 'yay I can use it so well! I am teh 1337!!1". It was the first weapon I 'mastered' and I changed to the Minimi partly for a more respectable and challenging fight.

I think I ditched the M79 after a few days of use in the early days because it was no sport. That's why I'm so annoyed when I see people that have used them for weeks.

People who use them temporarily (like, a few days) = Newb.
People who use them permanently (like, always) = Noob.

I mean, of only those few days of use in the early days, I can still own noobs by simply picking up an M79 on the battlefied (hey, they are all over the place) and just blast them into french fries. I used it a few days. They have used it for weeks. Come on.

its not a noob weapon...if you are playing right you can easily kill one with m79. the people that are noob is the people that use some cind of range boost program....someone killed me with a m79 when i was far out of range and the roof was close to him if he had the chanse to shoot me he had shoot the roof.
