Dropping weapons/flags

ok, so, is it normal that your soldat automatically drops his weapon or flag after being hit by an explosion from an M79 or grenade? my dude ALWAYS does it and its getting pretty annoying... any help?

you probably accidentaly press f in panic that your about to lose the flag....
