Alright, I have to explain what's happened.

The group that was going to produce the main game, which would have been a multiplayer FPS, essentially kicked out the project manager/creator for being a do-nothing sillykins. He took as many rights as possible with him.

This means I can not use the names "OMNI," or "FTF," or any of the character names previously used. The OMNI society makeup is also held by him, and if he liked to, he could prove his ownership of those rights, so OMNI is pretty much off-limits for now.

I have retained all weapons, fortunately, except the flamer SMG some of you might remember, as it was originally his design. I revamped it entirely myself, but I don't mind losing it, as it was a stupid concept anyway.

So there. Sorry to everyone who contributed to or hoped for this mod. I would like to do something else, but with my future plans and generally busy schedule/life that outlook is looking less likely. I haven't even designed a firearm in ages, if it's any consolation.

Consider this mod canceled.



Project Mars (SOL: H3)



Well, the primary mod has changed focus, from an RTS to an FPS multiplayer. As such I've designed a billion more guns, which can be applicable to a Soldat mod.

While I can do concept art and illustration, I tend to suck dismally at pixel art and various other Soldat things. As such, I need a lot of help. Namely, the following:

Interface art, including guns, graphics, etc.
In-game art, including weapons and gosteks
Maps (self-explanatory, PM me for details).

If you're interested in contributing anything at all, just post here or PM me. I'd prefer participants to have at least a couple mods under their belt, or at least significant experience in pixel art. Anyhow, here's the goods.

I love that SMG, PDW design.  Very post modern and stylish, reminds me of a cross between a TMP and a P90.

I'm just curious, what type of terrian would this warfare take place on? I'm a so-so mapper ( 1 2 3 4 5 ), and I think I might be able to make a few maps that would fit the mod.

for maps, they'll be on the ground (no jets). places like siberia, australia, south america, africa, the middle east, and since this is in the future, japanese islands (technological domes). i encourage a lot of creativity!

lots of water all around due to ocean levels rising and such... this is after a couple world wars and nuclear fallout.

'Project Mars' is a storyline that our team will use to mod /different games/ for instance, we're modding star wars: EAW and the soon-to-be-released C&C3... those are the RTS's i was talking about

in the meantime, using the same storyline and weapons and infantry, i'm modding soldat.

Well, I just whipped up a quick shrink job for the interface of one of the Minimi options with GIMP and Paint. And by "quick" I mean 15 minutes. So yeah, it's just a rough draft. It needs more shading and some more detail, but the colors and shape should be pretty close.
