Port Tester Fails at Download (so do users)
« on: January 04, 2007, 01:01:16 am »
I cannot seem to make it so my dedicated server allows people do download a map. I have 23073 as my server port. Both 23073 and 23083 are open, yet people still cannot download anything. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

For map downloading you need to have 23083 TCP open.

I have both ports forwarded and it still does not work. Why does the port tester test some weird 6-something port?

Here is what I see in case it helps:

Code: [Select]
Step One: Ingame Connectivity Test
Sending PING test to 65.87.151.57 on UDP Port 23073... PASS! (114ms)
Sending REQUEST test to 65.87.151.57 on UDP Port 60056... PASS!
Sending JOIN GAME test to 65.87.151.57 on UDP Port 60056... PASS!
Step Two: All-Seeing Eye Test
Sending test to 65.87.151.57 on UDP Port 23196... PASS! (114ms)
Step Three: Remote Administration
Sending test to 65.87.151.57 on TCP Port 60056... FAILED!
Step Four: Map Download Connections
Sending test to 65.87.151.57 on TCP Port 60066... FAILED!

Looks like your router may have some kind of NAT going on; you need to disable this for Soldat so it always gets the specified ports.

Man, that sucks. I don't think my router has an option to disable the NAT thing  :-\
I guess I will just have give up trying to play backwards b2b with my friends :(

Very good program for configuring ur router is PFConfig from Portforward . Its easy and simple, BUT with unregisterd version you are not able to update router. Registering costs almost 30 $.

Download PFConfig

Alright, ill give it a try. I guess I am missing some ports other than those 2 or something. Thanks.
