Would you like "Warning Level: x" instead?

And abusing power by putting false statements in users titles.

Yes.  Some users need to be put in their place, but not necessarily handed a warning.  You're one of them.  And, of course, I'm evil for giving you a break.  ::)

We're not cracking down at all. We're just making warnings more public and making our jobs slightly easier in the long run.

That's what i'm trying to say - there need not be warnings in the first place. This community is small enough to know when a person has overstayed their welcome. That's what i found so fun about the old forums. People had more personality.

I'm beginning to really miss the old days.

Personality and plain old immaturity are two different things.

Hmmm...good point.  How about this: we'll test the new title/warning addition for a few weeks to see what, if any, effects it has on the quality of posts, then us mods will discuss whether we should keep it or not as well as whether or not we should ditch the warning system altogether.  Meanwhile, you can discuss any opinions you have, hopefully with some strong justification.

Spam by Rambo_6 created.

I don't want the public warnings gone so i can be immature. I want them gone because they aren't needed.

I like them, it is a fair way to punish people for being immature, with the warnings not there, we would probably see a bunch of people who think the mods aren't going to punish them, then they go ape shit on the forums.

We should add another warning level before any bans take place, I think it would be more intimidating to have an admin pm about the warning then a mod, but whatever, that one would be "Last chance before a vacation, dont fuck with me!" kind of warning, it would definantly justify a perm ban, because after 4 warnings you are just asking for trouble.

Isn't there a way to have moderators' comments about each warning?
There was such feature on the second (old) forum with a little icon next to the nickname... although warnings have never proven being very useful (imho).

I think that as long as it's cool, it's fine. ;)

P.S: still no update about the stars in the rating columns? Not that it really matters anyway...

I think i would know what i did to deserve a warning (spam or something) and they edit your sig if that breaks the rules.
