Destructable Enviroments.

Is it possible to implement this into the game for the pure fact you can make your own defense position instead of counting on the map.... and see the actual damage of your war?

it would make it quite intresting..

I know this game isnt liero.. but.. i wouldnt mind SOME THINGS that could blow up.. fall down ect

AND I really really want it :(
But I can just imagine what the map would look like after 1 game of soldat.. I'm imagining little floating islands scattered everywhere..

Yeah, it WOULD be a really cool feature. However, if I remember correctly, it would require a huge change in the source code.

Maybe if we didn't change the actual poly's to be explossive, but just random objects on the map?

This would add more bugs than enjoyment...

The map is made of 2d polygons, it would require some really good algorithm to calculate the optimal way to split the polygons...

It would take too much time to create such algorithm...

It could be done with the current map format, but every change in the polygons would require as long time as map compiling takes + optimal splitting calculation time, so it wouldnt be so fun  ;)

Think, All grenades and explosives are wrecking the polygons. Near flags and spawn places there are coming holes and players are falling out of the map.
