You're not sure if a free game made by an independent developer is worth the money (to support the game of all things, it's a free game!) just because there's a little bit of lag?

You can't just 'fix' lag, it takes time to optimize netcode, and Michal is already busy with another game.

And it's not just Soldat's fault, I play plenty of games that have a fairly high ping that cost a hell of a lot more than $9, and I don't go complaining on the forums about it. Since the game uses the internet, then if your internet connection is bad, so is the lag.

ooo I can't wait for some of those 1.3.1 bugs to be gone.
In the last two decades, political and civil rights have improved substantially throughout the world: since 1980, 81 countries have taken significant steps in democratization, with 33 military regimes replaced by civilian governments. But of these fledgling democracies, only 47 are considered full democracies today.

Well, I registered recently (this is my first post) so I'm looking foreward to the new release too. But I know how hard it is to make stuff like this, so don't feel rushed ;)

And I have to say that as long as you have decent internet and play on a (relatively) local server then lag isn't too much of a problem. Being in NZ sucks for online games, but when I play on the Xtra local server I only get 60 ping. (Bear in mind that NZ gets really slow internet compared to America)

the thing is 33 ping gives a hell lot of lag, 200 ping in soldat 1.2.1 is about as much lag as 33 in soldat 1.3.1

ok, the thing is that soldat tries to mimimize the lag and there for the lag gets worse. try yourlsef play 1.2.1 you will experiance a huge diffrence, I did, 200 ping and all my hits made dmg, in 1.3.1 about 50% does dmg

and Vis your static thing sucks... how do you know that 72% static isnt a false one... get a normal sig...

I don't believe there have been any changes to the netcode since 1.2.1

It's not the net code, sakae... Nearly all weapons in general have been weakened.

maybe read change logs? hello?

http://www.soldat.pl/main.php?prevnext=30

- Modified network bullet start position according to player ping and bullet owners ping

that is what fucked the net thingy

I seriously doubt that would cause your ping to jump 176 ms or whatever. He did that to try to increase internet bullet-hit ratios, it's not really that much of a difference. Personally, I've not had a problem with half of my bullets hitting, so I believe it's just whining about weapon balance/bad internet connections.

Back to the ping thing....Ping merely denomonates how far you are from the server, not how laggy you are. Lag can affect it but, ur ping's gonna be high if ur playing on [eC] fun climb 1 (american) if you live in Austrillia. So stfu, stop complaning and play the game
