the thing is 33 ping gives a hell lot of lag, 200 ping in soldat 1.2.1 is about as much lag as 33 in soldat 1.3.1

-__- it is not the ping itself that creats lag. 500 ping is as laggy as 33 ping. it is well done coding but it is lagging without lag, not perfectly adjusted. but when the ping is jumping 33-133 for example warping appears

Do... do you even know what lag is? Or even ping?

Ping is the time it takes to send the data to the server, and get a reply back. Lag is pretty much the same thing. At least have a GENERAL idea of what you're talking about.

I rarely get lag. Occasionally the connection might get bugged for a few seconds but no lag really, my computer isn't anything special really either.
My FPS is about 100-200.
Can't wait till 1.3.2!!!

ye he is kinda right, it depends on how you define it lag can be caused by a high ping but also because of lack of processing power
ping when used in gaming refers to the network latency between the computer and the server

on-topic: does this mean that the beta testing has to start all over?

I heard around a week ago that it will be out in a few weeks, but none of us really know when it will be out.

You just make the impatient people even more impatient DDD:
For signatures, you are allowed only one image in your signature which may not be wider and taller than 300 and 125 pixels, and may not be over 20kB in file size. No BMPs are allowed.

ahh!!! no!! it cant get out yet... I got to register me first :P but then I have to find somebody that can buy it over the internet... and I really hope the lag/bug with dealges will get fixed. the prbolem started at 1.3 so it got to be the net change with bullet start and stuff...

so ping and lag is not excatly the same thing. lag can be 2 things. and soldat lag can be 2 things. either a application process delay or a nerwork delay. I think this is atleast more than a "genneral idea of waht I am talking about"
