a problem with asian language (japanese, chinese, korean)

Hi, im working on translation soldat to korean
but, there's problem.
the soldat can't read asian languages
i've heard that because most of asian languages are 2 bytes
i don't know what this mean..
so.. if you guys can help me
plz reply ur post hereĀ  :)

P.S : i've asked this to MM, but u know... he won't work on this small problem

maybe you need language packs installed for soldat to display the text correctly?

Maybe using a different font. For the menus, it won't work ever, but ingame, it might. Go to \Soldat\Txt\font.ini to change the fonts to something with foreign characters.

i've tried that mistercharles, and didn't work..
and where do i get the language pack?
i can't find it.. -.-;

ok i found out something.
soldat can't read 2byte 'charset' which is most of asian languages.

Soldat only allows for ASCII characters, which only fully support the English alphabet. To use asian characters (or european characters with accents), you would need to use a different charset, which Michal is not currently prepared to do.
