stronger desert eagles?

I'd like to see the Desert Eagles get a slight boost to around 190 damage.

It will make them slightly more effective without making them overpowered.

Desert Eagles have almost straight bullet curve, making it one of the most accurate weapon in the game. Also they are very powerful, capable of killing with 3-4 shots. Reload time is short. Fire interval is pretty short too.

In my opinion, they're very fast and lethal if used accurately.

Ah, here we go again with all the numbers and what-ifs...

If you're going up against a bunch of autos, then you're an idiot if you take the Desert Eagles with you.  The only handgun I'd consider taking into battle against someone with an automatic weapon is the Golden Gun; and last time I checked, this game we're talking about here wasn't Goldeneye 007.

The DEs fire in an arc for a reason--the idea is that you fire at the target from odd angles and locations that make counterattack difficult.  If the map you're on doesn't lend itself to that end very well, then don't use the Desert Eagles; instead, choose something that's better suited for the current map and your opponents' weapons.

This is the root of the vast majority of weapons whining. People want their weapon of choice to be ideal in every situation, on every map, against every weapon. That's just not the way it is.

i know. in death match, i always choose AUG or MP5. easier kills. maybe if the death match is under 5 people, i pull out my ruger or deagles and deal up some headshots. but in CTF and INF i play much more conservately, at least bulletwise. i almost always use ruger and AUG. and when i use AUG, i dont spray either. super fast click out every bullet. accuracy is what i cant live without. and ah ruger headshots... such a beautiful thing. WHAT IM TRYING TO GET TO AFTER I JUST BLABBED ON, IS, that mr domino is true. not one gun is going to be good in every situation. its hilarious seeing barret whores playing in 10+ people deathmatchs rofl...

I have a thing for deagles. I think they are fine but because I am a deagle fan, I think the power should be boosted only slightly. I mean they pack .50 AE rounds. But I rather think that they are fine.

I think deagles are fine, all that needs to happen is for the shots to register, in reality its not really 3 shots to kill its more like 5 plus you can miss alot so its hard.

The Desert Eagels are just fine, let them be.. stop whining about every single gun. I saw too many good players that owning with the DEs

Are people this dumb? WEAPONS.INI CANT FIND IT? click start at bottom of screen. click run type in explorer click search on top, type weapons.ini in box that says word or phrase in the file, activate it. wait till it comes up and the file you seach is soldat.

The Deagles would always have been my weapon of choice in previous versions, especially in DM, however now it seems it takes an extra shot or 2 due to poor reg or something and I miss using them as much as I do now 

I do feel that they can more than hold their own in the right hands but its the least used gun that I see now (apart from minigun!). Maybe balancing the other weapons out first may see it gain more popularity!

I myself am a deagle user, i can kill very easily in most dm's and tdm's and i carry them in the other game modes to kill of the low health guys. they are in need of no buffing, nor are the other weapons in need of nerfing to make this stronger. the deagles are perfectly fine as they are, even if it does take me 3 shots to kill someone. everyone underestimates the deagles full power.

They have a learning curve.

Either you completely suck with them, or you are uber pro (kinda like Ruger).

And on that, the Ruger And Deagles are basically the same. The ruger fires straighter and causes more damage, but it has less room for error and reloads slower.

mabu just a little bit more power, not much. eagles already might kill u with 1 shot in realistic servers. just like ruger, nobody uses them in normal games

Mp5 has like 4 times the amount of bullets though, and you only need 2 times the amount to kill someone.

Deagles are slightly underpowered, since there are two .50 cal bullets being fired at once, the target should be damaged down to like 10%, perhaps 15%. This leaves us with a problem - if someone masters the weapon, they can't be beaten. I think the deagles are fine, as long you practice with them they're excellent weapons...

@maucer: I only use deagles in normal? I hardly ever use them in RS (what I play 65% of the time).
