invisible Polys
« on: January 11, 2007, 08:06:15 pm »
How do you make invisible polys like above a map so when, say, a hacker uses infinite jet to get somewhere nobody else can they get a nice surprise from a deadly poly they can't see  ;D

Well you could just make the polly the same color as the background.

There's a reverse visibility function in polyworks. You can either select the polys and hit ctrl+r, or go to the edit menu and choose it.

Reverse Visibility does not work 100%, but v1.3.2 will support transparent polygons

transparent polygons don't work for everyone either, about half the people can see them just fine. there's currently no reliable way to do invisible polygons except for untexturing and background color tricks. yeah it sucks.

Also I have noticed any "invisi" polies will still show up in the very top left of your screen; I noticed this bug especially while playing the (DM) Bubbles map on SML.
