The poets that you want to watch out for (the ones that drink tea and have reading sessions) are the ones that think punctuation helps the flow of the poem, that argue that syllable count is more important than rhyming, and that use poetry to "express themselves".

Emo poets (tortured artists, whatever) are now added to the watch list.  One of the wonders of life is that you can make an emo poem from a collection of words, like

dark
despair
pain
loath
lament
fail

...and turn around and call it "deep", "unique", "emotional", or whatever description you use to cover that fact that your poem is just like every other emo poem.  Seriously.  You're not being a nonconformist by writing in the exact same style as every other emo.
