Zombie Hunter Xtreme
« on: August 17, 2006, 01:26:40 pm »
Well, the title should say it all, people.  I haven't decided to do any gosteks, and probably won't, but this is really just a weapons.ini mod.  I've mixed up all of the bullet styles, fire rates, etc.  I've also made 10 zombie bots and 1 zombie king.  When I finish balancing it, it should be fun to play online.  You can run it as a deathmatch and make sure that everyone that joins shoots just the zombie bots, not each other.  Also, the zombies don't attack each other.  I've already decided on a few weaps, like MP-5=>Super Sprayer and M-249=>Knive Blaster.  Once I've finished, I'll upload the file w/ bots.  If I get enough positive support, I'll even make it a full mod.

To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

Ok sounds acceptable at the minute. I don't like zombie mods that much, so make it good.

As warning, remove or resize your sig before the admins catch you ;).

lol, thanks.  Also, I know about other zombie hunter mods.  I'm trying to make this one more interesting to play, while remaining decently balanced.

I made one where you were only allowed the MP5 (I modded it)
Basically it was very weak, shot very quickly and had 60 ammo.
You needed about a full clip to get one zombie. I was very good with a friend, 6-10 zombies versus me and my friend on survival on maps made for zombies.
No animated signatures

GAH! I've made a weapons.ini mod called "Survival" and 10 different zombie bots (different colours, behaviour etc), 2 ghosts and 1 daemon bot. Also, mine "Survival" mod was a mod with realistic bullet speeds, reloads, but i reduced the damage to low, so zombies was HARD to kill. Fun, isnt it?

Xd , I'm actually in progress of making a zombie hunter mod. Thats the one with papasurfs interface-hfx. I'm just on a break waiting my firend with whom Itested the weapons.ini. Till then I'm making a somekind of fantasy themed mod.

ORION I could send it to you so you do the weapons.ini and a coupe of weapons-gfx leftcuz I'm kinda bored of it.
Also it comes with a configurator sothere are a couple of weapons for each slot and I'm p,laning on adding more later.

Kewl.  Sure, I'll do that.  I also am familiar with configurators, mainy Ivan's.   I'll ask if I have any questions on how you want the weaps to be balanced.

Well, you should probably know that I converted the minigun into a belt-fed roatary rocket launcher, but the MP-5 will give you the same feeling that the minigun once did.  I'll give further updates later.

ETA: 2 weeks maximum.  (Sorry, I have to deal with school crap. XP)

If you can figure out how to make the zombies not run, jump, and fly all over the place and shamble like they're supposed to, I'm getting it.

Sadly, you can never get zombies to do that on their own.  I could make them camp 100% of the time to limit their ability to go around constantly.

NEW UPDATE NEWS:  I've decided to scrap the old idea of overly chaotic guns, and went ahead to change the mod to be something like modified standard weapons, more like your typical zombie-shooting fare.  For example, tandem 12-gauge, Desert Eagle .50, rediculously fast submachine guns, multi-shot rocket launchers, etc.  Base weapons.ini and bot mod should be done by this weekend.  The graphic mod should be done in about 2-3 weeks.

Well, this apparently hasn't kicked off in popularity, I don't know why, but the first version of the graphic mod, as well as a bot expansion and weapon fix, is now released.  Check the first post.  Again.
