Hi, I was recently reminded about this game and would like to know what are the changes to the game since I stopped playing around 1.4.2 a couple of years ago.

the change that stuck in my memory the most is the possibility to roll out of prone, which has great practical use when keeping your pace after landing on your ground superman style, it should have been added since the very beginning!

but yeah, the changes were so many I wouldn't even know what to start with, they are small and medium, no drastic changes really.

One awesome change is how 50% of the time if you shoot someone in the head and they die the entire head gostek explodes and red goes everywhere.

several new polygon types
several new maps
tons of minor new features
new anti cheat engine (not supported any longer, should be back in 1.6.8 - 1.7)
new scriptcore
soldatserver works for mac now
tons of bugfixes

Just minor changes and bugfixes, nothing compared to the RC's we had before... darDar made it seem like something revolutionary happened, almost made me want to redownload Soldat again, but I know it isn't nearly that great nor updated

Arguing with your girlfriend and you don't get a response for a few minutes

We released the first OSX Soldatserver :P (not sure if anybody used that one though)
The config.exe looks like soldat.
Resolution limitations where lifted.
HWID banns were added.
New polytypes were added.
The developers changed 2 times :P
Among other stuff but mainly bugfixes and drama.

A lack of players, generally this game that fueled me through my teenage years is now dead. It's actually really depressing and I do not like it, but try as I have, nobody wants to play this game anymore, I can't seem to attract any new players.

Kinda curious; did you try to do through online means, or instead, using the ancient method of good old fashioned RL 'talking' face-to-face as a mean of persuasion...?  ???

Keep getting owned when playing on the other side of the world and got high ping = Blame the ping.

It was real life with friends from school and my neighborhood. I had them watch me play and I showed them the controls and so on and they just couldn't get into it.

Well... That much, it just won't do— you need to show more LOVE!  :P

Despite being considered to be a hard genre for people to get into. Nevertheless, I've single-handedly created a fighting game circle (namely, Street Fighter 3:3rd-Strike) in my neighborhood virtually out of thin-air with nobody knows or even wanted to play it (or any other fighting game for that matter), to the point that now some of my friend own an arcade stick!  8)
