You're supposed to go into the lobby, set the port to 0, and type the name of the demo into the IP address. (Atleast that's what I think)

  • When you open Soldat, go to the Join Game Tab
  • In the I.P. Address, type the name of the demo.  Example, "intro"
  • In the Port Box, type 0
  • Select Join Game and it should work.

It should also be noted that demos will only be viewable with the version recorded.  Example, demos recorded in 1.4.1 cannot be viewed in the current version 1.4.2.

If it's still hard to watch simple demo after those good instuctions you can try to use some tool which are made to view demos which you have recorded. One of tools like that is Esdee, made by Mar77a.

But my recomment is to view demos without it. It shouldn't be too hard.

there are other demo players too, I don't know who's best. but I would recommend getting one.
her's the one I use, just put it in soldat folder.
