Prevent CG from interfering with plain grenades

Well, I picked up a Cluster GrenadeKit after spawning and subsequently wasn't able to fill up my 2 grenades to max. when I tried to pick up a GrenadeKit. So it'd be neat if the game remembers that whether players have full regular grenades and allows them to fill up on regular ones while having CGs.

Or, maybe it could just remain, as a kind of penalty for those who pick up CGs. Hm. :|

I think that CGs are for newbies who have fun with it. They CAN be fun, but since no one practices using them and they are turned off on most servers there is no need to change them.

And yes. It is a kind of penalty :(

Yeah, as far as practicality goes the clusters are rather pointless as it takes all 3 to kill a guy with full health, and only if they all hit him. They're pretty much only useful on zombie matches where everyone's only half alive as it is.

I do consider them a penalty and do my best to avoid and dodge the kits when I see them.

But yeah, I say make it so when you've captured a cluster kit and proceed to capturing a normal grenade kit, the clusters are replaced with the normal frags.

Clusters are generally useless, and it is a pain in the butt when you pick them up most of the time.

But I do know a few spots where clusters are extremely useful.

Seems like a reasonable solution.

F12 on this, but wouldn't it also be a good idea to buff clusters' damage?
It's a good weapon if you know how to use them.

Throw them at the nearest roof when being attacked - the showering clusters wreak havoc, then. :D

If I recall right, if you throw cluster directly under player's footing it will kill him in one shot. Like normal nades, they tend to do more
damage if it blows between your balls.

But what truly makes clusters quite useless is the fact if you throw cluster at a player, it will just go trought him.
Only the clustered pieces collides, but since they ejaculate from ground/wall only it becomes quite useless in mid air.

Cluster grenades are a weapon with unused potential.  But I definitely agree with this suggestion, you should be able to get rid of your cluster grenades.  This is especially useful if you picked them up by mistake.

Yeah, cause it's really hard to press the grenade button a few times to waste them.
