Skyrim - 30% off on steam (hurry!)
« on: December 24, 2011, 08:03:34 pm »
As the name of the topic says, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is 30% cheaper right now, so if you still don't have the game - now is the time to buy. The offer will only last for 21 more hours as of when this post was made, so make your decision fast.

Why buy it? It's a single-player game, can't I just pirate it?
Well, it'll make your life a lot easier when downloading patches and DLCs, plus you get nifty little bonuses like achievements if you care about that. It might also help with certain mods in the future. Anyway, I'm getting it, thought you might want too. It's christmas after all.

And for those that don't know, skyrim isn't the only game on sale.
Every day there is a new batch of daily deals for the length of the winter sale.

More in depth run-down

Hard reset and jamestown are also hard to ignore for their price.

SOPA hasn't blocked the Internet yet so why pay 50$ for it if you can just download it.

It's still $40? Not worth it imho.

Ye.

Some rehashed piece of shit, took them long enough to implement something from FO3. Same engine, just more repeatable quests to do. Meh, it's not like those bastards are missing out. Still wouldn't have bought it anyway, I'd rather buy something more useful. (Unless it was cheap enough on Steam, say $10?)

Not really.

Get .torrent
Use some kind of application to download
???
Finish download
Mount on virtual disk (takes 10 seconds)
Install
Apply crack
Play

Wow, a minute of clicking. That is pretty damn hard. It must take people hours to do that.

You're forgetting the part where you need to download all the dlcs that come out plus anything else they want to throw to your game making it the most epicable game imaginable.

Trust me just buy it, it'll rock your socks.

Maybe you got the wrong impression of it. Sure the engine is similar to previous open-worldy Bethesda games, but they did revamp quite a lot. It is less repetitive, and there is something to miss out on. Fallout 3 was a great game, many people enjoyed it. Skyrim is also great, just in a fantasy environment.
