Problem with custon maps
« on: June 12, 2010, 03:24:07 pm »
My server don't allow what players download maps.
If an custons map running in server only players what have the map can enter in server. For others server return error "could not load map (2)" when try enter in server. For defaults maps all is ok.

I try delete all files and reupload.
Reconfigure soldat.ini with ports corrects, allowdowload, maxnumofdownloads.
Use mapslist from my other server.
Change permissions of files and pastes.

All apparently is correct. It passed in Soldat Connection Tester with 6/6.
And other server with same configuration and don't have this problem.
Anyone know any solution? I'm tinking of move server for another port.

Probably the download port is blocked by the other server you've mentioned. If you use exactly the same configuration you use the same portf for both servers

No is exactly the same configuration. An server use port 23074 and other 23099. I configure the ports and clienteports correct.
The two servers was running fine until a week ago. This happened without I change nothing in server.

If was being blocked for other server, how it passed in Soldat Connection Tester?

Edit:
I see now, have an server running in port 23084. Maybe this can is blocking my server.

Check if the ports are still unblocked.

I had the problem when all my ports were open and I passed the test with 6/6, but my crappy router would block the ports each time several people tried to download a map off my server.

That's the only thing that comes to my mind, sorry. :S

what i understood is that you have one server running on port 23074 and another running on 23084?
if that is the case, then you're gonna run into problems, because the 23074 server uses port 23084 (download port = game port + 10), so make sure to use different ports!
Can't think of anything original to put here...

Even though the thread is old.
Possible reason: mapname. I uploaded an old version named "ctf_Snakebite_old" - and this error appeared. I guess it's the '_'?

Perhaps we should start some knowledge base article on dev wiki for such tips&tricks
