Help with sounds
« on: June 15, 2006, 08:19:17 am »
Everywhere I go, I only get incredibly crappy sounds. I mean, I search for a railgun, and it gives me an airsoft pistol.

Is there a place where I could get some good-quality sounds with no cost?

A good place is sound clips from actual games, like half life 2 or whatever game is close to the mod your making.

ya, i am havin the same dilemma, but i dont have any good games to get sounds from.....there has to be a website
Your acting like your having a duel and your opponent gets a pistol and you get a spork.
Isn't that pretty much what it is? I dunno wtf a spork is, I suppose it's way weaker than the pistol since you compared that to this.

Thanks for the tip. Guess I'll go look at the Fallout 2 folder.

Depends.

You may need to export things, like using HMT (Halo Map Tools), if you want to extract certain sounds.

OR

Frap the sound in game. Record the sound playing, then use audicity to change it.

Google audicity up, good program.
If anyone needs Halo sounds, just PM me, or ask.
