i was in your position a while back and i googled 'Free 3d rpg' and had a good site that had a bunch listed.

One of the better sites i looked at was www.gameogre.com (or .net) not sure which

Hmmm, ure maybe missinformated ,  they were unfree , but became free. Jsut check them ...Im sure they are free.
