I think you should delete those statues, because they dont fit into this theme I think, especially the on this sockel outside the map :) tree-scenery looks good, gameplay seems to work pretty, only thing  after this all is, that you should change the backgroundcolors a bit more to slightlier yellow upside. Otherwise good job!

You see man, that's the thing. My maps always lack style and try to incorporate every possible scheme known to Soldaten men. And even if it were to have a theme, it'd be the inside of a dead soldaten's head who liked to eateth smaller soldaten, so it fits. :P :)

btw, what do you mean by "sockel"?

This thing on top of the map is for me the sockel :)
I would suggest to set there some spiky thinks instead of the soldiers, the spikes should be scenery and be set to middle or front with opacity of 85-88

EDIT: I dont think your maps are lacking style, you have your own special one and I like it, because it not like the rest I see somewhere, it is a bit like mar77as style :D

I suggest to drop the subgamemode maps and start with CTF.  No one really plays DB anymore and since Gathers have been more popular than ever, it greatly increases chances of your maps being played.

Keep making maps, you'll eventually get the hang of it.  Remember as I said, mapping is a skill and you can only get better by practicing.

What have you got in mind when making this kind of maps? Also, The Specialist is right...

What I have in mind is the incentive to make the most wackiest and unpredictable maps that exist. I usually make DB maps because I love that subgamemode and I don't have any better ideas for layouts, even though my favorite mode is INF.

for some reason, the two things making up the eyes (where you can presumably hide in) make this map live up to it's name (not because of the shape/picture, but the fact that you can hide in them for protection)

Player since late 2007

I think oldschool maps has better look than dynamic-shaded ea mass productions.
You mean ones using inconsistent shading with overlapping polygons and texture stretching?

Yeah, I know the statues look fugly, but I think they fit.
