hey hi there, i was wondering like in halo the battle rifle stops and shoots 3 times right? how do doyu you tweak with that idk how to do that with my BR. ty and reply :P

Haven't seen battle rifle.. in which Halo was it?

Open up weapons.ini in your Soldat folder, find settings for Barrett and change a few settings:
FireInterval - to something around 12
Ammo - to 3
Reload - to whatever you want (maybe around 60?)

*Note- Make sure that the weapons are automatic, which barret isnt iirc.

that rifle is similar to aug or the asp something in fear. unfortunatly you cannot make something burst without the method showing above.

make it have a low fireinterval (7 and below are bugged), possibly 0-1 but would make the bullets spread like a shotgun. and then have a low reload to seperate the "bursts".

No i don't want to have Shotgun pellets i want the rifle to shoot 3 at a time, and ammo is 36. I need it to shoot 3 at a time each time not just pellet shots.. :|

You can modifying the bullet graphic but it will work as 1 bullet.
You take a semi auto. If you want to make a standar m16 for example the mag has to be of 10 bullets because 3 round brust x 10 bullets (in sodlat) makes 30, right?

Or you can make a weapon which has a high fire rate and 3 mag cappacity, which has to be automatic, then a short reload time. The problem is that you will never really reaload

yes, you could mod your sounds and graphics... but won't work like you had 3 bullets...

This is why we, as weapon modders need moar options to be unhardcoded from soldat. What I have to work with is too limited for making newer guns. Sure, there's many glitches to make stuff like boosting guns(negative firing speed+spass pellets), and give you self a cluster thrower, but: Its. Not. Enough.

Agreed. I would love fun guns to be able to hold an alternate fire option. Because for lot of mods there are modern guns with grenade launchers attached. Example, the M4A1. There is a model... I cant remember the name of the gun now but its the "door breach" model. Its an assault rifle with a 12 guage shotgun attached. Only holds like 3 rounds i think but it would still be cool in Soldat to be able to have alternate fires. Peace.

I'm really sorry if this counts as necroposting, but I think I actually have something to say to this.

You see, deagles fire 2 bullets at time. You could make a weapon which has a burst of 2 instead of the deagles. They exist, you know. The bullets may be a problem because they aren't going exactly to the same position, but it's the best you can do. Just edit the weapon interface, ingame gfx and sound and you've got a weapon that fires 2 bullets at time. One thing about it is that you actually only lose one bullet instead of 2, but it doesn't matter. Just decrease the clip size to half and you're done.

That M4 that was mentioned isn't a door breach model or any special model. it's an M4 with a Masterkey shotgun attached to the foregrip with rails. Anyway, I want to see options for burst fire as well, and not by editing the bullet graphic. I want to have different fire modes besides semi and full auto. I want my M-16A2 the way it's supposed to be. being able to change rate of fire in the middle of the fight would be cool too, but I'm not gonna hold my breath, and soldat is so fast paced that it would probably be pointless.

If you want new features such as burst fire, you'll have to post the idea in the Game Improvements / Suggestions board. It won't do any good here.
