Soldat Windows 8.1 bugs and interface issues

every time I load up soldat, the interface is always this (attachment). I have to alt+F4 every time and reload, which is annoying. I did clean install of 1.6.8, this issue still persist. And also every time I click to shoot, the game does not registers as a click, which is really frustrating! Please help fix this issue for me please!

This seems to be a problem caused by your system's Font Size setting.

Right-click on your desktop, and go to "Screen Resolution -> Make text and other items larger or smaller". This will open Display settings, and  at the top it should say "Change the size of all items". Below there is a slider with 3 settings. Soldat is designed to work with the "Smaller" setting which is default on most desktops, but if you're like me and use a big TV screen instead of a monitor - that setting may default to Medium and cause Soldat to not render properly

To fix this, set Font Size to "Smaller" (don't close the settings window yet) and start up Soldat. Now it should appear normal. With Soldat still running, go back to Font Size settings and change it back to whatever you want. Now you can close display settings, and Soldat should run fine from now on. It worked for me at least.

Thanks for the input, It worked for one game, then it happened again, don't know what's the read cause for this...

I'm not sure how I made Soldat stay that way. I was just messing around with the settings and trying different things, and it worked. Maybe try changing Soldat's resolution before or after changing the Font Size setting?

I have the same issue since I installed Windows 8.1.
What works for me is refreshing the window - for example pressing Win+D twice.

Can confirm that half of window spawns sometimes on windows 8.1. The same happens to me. Haven't found out why and how to get rid of it in reliable way.

I tested all default resolutions (no custom ones) and only these two had the issue:
1024x768
1280x720

I used fullscreen 1600x900 and also 1920x1080. I have a Sony Vaio model SVS13A12FXS. I have the same settings for Soldat on my desktop computer, that seems to be fine with no issues whatsoever

Ok it will be fixed in 1.6.9. I think I found a way to make it work.
