Player name under player

if in looking for someone and everyone looks the same instead of move cursor on the player why not put the name under the player because there always moving around

it didn't seem to have gone through well there.
things have changed since though! (not much :/)

anyways, i think it'd be good to have the option to see names under players (like when spectating) but ONLY for teammates in team games!

F12, as long as you can turn them on and off. Sometimes players look too similar to recognize who's who.
This is one of those small simple additions that would make Soldat a tad better, so if it's not hard to add - why not?

Why server-side? As long as you only see your teammates' names it doesn't unbalance anything, and besides, you can already see teammates' names at the edges of the screen. There's no point in having it server-side. :/

You could, but it's not easy when players are constantly moving around really fast. And the spot where you have to hold your mouse is really small.

There are some certain programs that can write names below the players. But fortunately I'm not allowed to say the name of the program

Well obviously.. And thats why zyxstand already suggested that the names would display only for your teammates.

No it wouldn't. Your client already knows who is at what position, this is just a matter of getting the client to show it on screen. FYI it would be possible to make a hack that does this...
