Option to turn off spray supression.
« on: December 17, 2010, 08:10:17 am »
From 1.4 changelog:
- Modified bullets (except Barrett, M79, LAW, Knife) lose 50% of power after screen distance and another 50% after 2 screens
It would be nice to be able to play with full-power spray, just like it was to be in 1.3
The reason i dislike this change is that it broke TW balance, removing essential need to use cover etc.

I can't see why someone would have something against it. Only allows for positive changes.

F12, altho I got a thought: won't MP5 become OP if it can spray it's full range as easily as at short ranges?

I don't see anything cool in "full-power spray", 11

bullets still loose damage with speed. And this would be an option, which you would be able to set depending on what your game mode requires -.-

You still won't be able to spray with mp5, bullet speed is barely enough to fly 2 screens. In TW it was working perfect as short range weapon only.

Instead of an on/off option, how about having a suppression % as a weapons.ini setting for each weapon separately?

Weapons like ruger or barrett shouldn't have much suppression in the first place since they're MEANT for long range, and you can't really spray with them. So I think having this as a weapons.ini setting will allow much finer tweaking both for different weapons and for realistic/non-realistic modes.

I'm with Loner on this one, if you can set it up to progressively use a set percentage of it's power, it will work just fine.
