Did you edit your post, or did I somehow miss the bottom half of it? Anyway,

You are switching your weapon from a primary to the combat knife.
You press the "drop weapon" button while the weapons are being switched.
Nothing happens.
If you keep holding down the "drop weapon" key until and after the weapons have been swapped:
the knife throw is powered up and ultimately, the knife is thrown.

This sounds even better.

I still think a knife throw hot key is the way to go.

dont ruin the fucking knife! just fix the sound, that it matches with the knife swich... u'll see all problems gone... and if u still trow ur wep beside ur knife then...then ur a hopeless newbie and needa fix ur skills
