Transparency support for flag texture
« on: October 27, 2014, 03:46:48 pm »
As the title says, I'd like to see transparency support introduced for flag textures. Right now green color that's used for transparency in other graphics is still opaque on flag textures. Making that color transparent would make it possible to change the shape of the flags or add things like holes and torn edges.

Alternatively, flags could be changed to use a .PNG texture instead of .BMP, which would be even better.

To make it easier for us, can you mention the file(s) you are talking about with path?

Here are locations of existing textures:

.../Soldat/Textures/Objects/flag.bmp - flag texture for CTF, HTF and Pointmatch flags.
.../Soldat/Textures/Objects/infflag.bmp - flag texture for INF flags.

However as I mentioned in this thread, each flag in each mode should also be given a unique texture, and I suggested different filenames for the texture files.

EDIT: now supported in Soldat v1.7, w00t!
